Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Hope someone can help...

I have done a key word search and am creating a 'lookup' with the results then i get this error message 'Object reference not set to an instance of an object'

How do I rectify this

Does the error occur with any keyword search? Have you tested a search with fewer results, then creating a lookup from it?

- What version of Sage ACT!?
- What is operating system?
- Is this a shared database? If yes, do other users also have problem?

Re: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Hi,

Yes, when i do a key word search that I know will have one result I get the same error when i click 'create lookup'

I am using ACT! 2011 pro, windows 7 professional, and Outlook 2007. I have used the diagnostic tool for Outlook as well and it found no problems.

I am using a remote database, its just myself using the program at the minute.

Thank you for your reply

To determine if the issue is with the database or with the installation, open the Demo database and attempt the keyword search. Same error or not?

Try running Sage ACT! using the 'Run as administrator' option. To do this:
- close Sage ACT!
- right click Sage ACT! icon
- test keyword search
