Hi everyone,
I have been getting these weird Notification folders on my Desktop (Windows 10) and in them are two .xml files, when I open them up, they say welcome to ACT? I delete them, but the constantly appear? ACT Ver 19.2 Update 3.
Any thoughts?
thanks, Michael

Hi Michael,
This sometimes happens when custom notifications are turned on on the machine that hosts the database - the host machine sends out the custom notifications as these xml files and the client stores them in a notification folder on the local machine.
You can disable the custom notifications by going to Tools > Preferences > Notifications tab:
And that should prevent the notifications folder from reappearing once deleted.
Hope this helps!

Yes, it's the desktop version I use.

What is the content of the notification?
In my experience the Act! software notifications don't cause this folder to be created, I've only ever seen this with custom notifications - but if they're all switched off it must be coming from somewhere!
Could you share the contents of the files? Or attach them to your post?
