Notes do not update

I have been using ACT for over 20 years and have never had this problem before

 

I hit f9, enter my note, click ok, the Notes area  of the Notes tab goes blank for a bit, then it reappears without the Note. I have tried this with a few contacts, and always the same - nothing. Any ideas?

 

I am using:

Sage ACT! Pro 2013 Version 15.1.108.0, Hot Fix 4

Windows 7

local database

Hi wieb, just to expand on Mike's point, if you check the Notes tab for the following:

Make sure you set the filters to all dates and all users then see if the Notes return for you.
