Notes and ID/Status won't Sync from ACT! 2013 to Outlook 2010

I using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Sage ACT! Pro 2013 Version 15.0.301.0, Hot Fix 1, and Outlook 2010.

I can't get my Notes in ACT! to Sync into the Notes Field in Outlook. Also, when I enter a new Contact in ACT!, the ID/Status does not Sync to the Categories  (ex. Customer) I created in my Outlook Contacts. It goes to Categories: (none).

Other than these issues, the Synchronize with Outlook feature works great!

Suggestions?

Hello RickyRay,
Unfortunately, those Outlook fields are not mapped to sync with ACT!. Please see the following Knowledgebase article for more on ACT!/Outlook contact field mapping:

Re: Notes and ID/Status won't Sync from ACT! 2013 to Outlook 2010

I followed the steps in the article "Sage ACT! & Microsoft Outlook Contact Sync Field Mapping", to add a new mapped field to the Sync process, mapping  ACT! "ID/Status" field to the "Category" field in Outlook 2010 to the "UserContactMapping.map" file, but it didn't work.

<Association>

      <Field Name="CATEGORY" /> Outlook field

<Field Name="ID/STATUS" /> ACT! field

    </Association>

Could you please test this process and let me know if it works for you.

I don't believe the field names are correct. For ACT!, the correct field name is "CATEGORY". Unfortunately, I could not find the field name for Outlook. It may not be a contact field.

Sorry for re-opening this, have you found the "Columnname" for the Notes field?

I never did find the Columnname. I quit trying to figure it out.
