Notes Update Not Bi-Directional Between ACT 2007 (9.0) Version

Hello All,


I am having trouble adding notes in Palm and having them sync back to Act. If it is a net new contact I create in the Palm or an existing contact that have previously been sync’ed but has no notes, I seem to be allowed to add notes. But, when I attempt to create notes in the Palm for sync’ed records that have notes, I have problems. I get the following error in my Sync log:


"You cannot change the notes or histories for [contact]" error in HotSync Log for Palm Link for Act, 2007"


Obviously, I would like to capture notes on my Palm when I am in the field and then have it sync back consistently. Is there a trick for this?



Knowledge Base articles I have read say that the Palm OS is limited to allowing entry at the beginning (Top) of the Notes entry. (I have tried this.)


Any help or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Run database rebuilds from ACT! Diagnotics and perform a desktop overwrites handheld synchronization.  If that fails, try syncing with a different database to test.  If you don't have another database, use the ACT! demo or create a new one.
