No check box in ID/Status field in Act! 2009 after converting from previous database

I installed Act! 2009 and converted my previous database.

The ID/Status field contains all my old values, but there is no check box beside each value, and therefore I cannot check multiple options.

If I create a new database or look at the demo database, the ID/Status field has the check box option.

Anyone any thoughts on how to resolve this.

Thanks

Tools > Define Fields and select ID/Status. Make sure "Use a drop-down list" is checked and is pointing at the ID/Status drop-down list, then on the next page check "Allow Multi-Select".

That should do the trick.

Re: No check box in ID/Status field in Act! 2009 after converting from previous database

Weird behaviour in Act 2009.
Same version running on server and local machine Act 2009 with hot fix 1
I finally got round to updating the field ID/Status on the server to allow multi select
I synched (2 or 3 times!) and observe the following!
Same layout being used on both server and client.
Drop down box on the server shows the boxes to the left of each entry in the drop down
On the client machine the drop down boxes are not there
I tried removing the ID/Status and readding it but no joy
I created a separate NEW multi select field and added this to the layout and this works correctly with check boxes

So it seems the issue is in converting ID Status to allow multi select that on my client machine it won't allow me to modify the ID/Status field to allow multi select. The initial synch DID wanr it was going to do database changes

Any help/ideas?

Thanks
