I have Sage ACT! Pro 2013 Version 184.108.40.206
When adding a new field to the Companies layout there is no "E-mail" option in the Field Data Type dropdown although it is available in the Contacts layout.
My database currently holds several hundres company e-mail addresses stored in a character field but I would like to e-mail these directly from ACT [either individually of in a merge]. Is there a solution to this or do I need to create nameless contacts for each company?

Act! is contact centric. The e-mail features are only available at the contact level.

Unfortunately you have confirmed the conclusion I had come to, after all there is little point in sending an e-mail to an entity that can not respond is there?
Looks like it will be Plan B then!
