I have question. Can i import customers, contact names associate with then and note from a flat file?

from csv file. but what i was told i can't import companies name. Is that true?

If you want the import to create the Companies and the Contacts and link them, you might try itImport
 
The ACT! importer won't auto link them

i want to download it. I got the setup.exe file but it's not doing anything. i have ACT for multiuser, can I install itimport on the server?

You downloaded crmaddon.zip and extracted it?
 
Running the setup doesn't do anything?
 
Yes, it can run on the server. It even has an option to run as a service to automatically bring in files left in a folder for it... eg from an accounts product or a lead system. But don't worry about that bit yet :-)
