New Windows users on same computer cannot access shared database

My client has a shared database on their server, and it was being accessed by two users, Mary and Bill.  Mary can still access it from her laptop with no problem.  Bill can still access the database from his laptop with no problem.  We hired a new person to replace Bill, and when the new user logs into Bill's laptop, that user can not access the database.

When Mary logs on to Bill's laptop, she can not access the database either, but does so just fine from her own laptop.

And remember, when I logon using Bill's account on his laptop, i can access the shared database with no problem at all.

 

What am I missing here?

- Versions of OS
- Message received when attempting to sign in
