So will the acquisition of Act by Swiftpage, change the direction of the product or will it be more of the same
?

This is the first I'm hearing about the Swiftpage purchase - what's the timeline on their taking over ACT? It's just a shame that one of the best contact management application has to change hands so frequently. As a long time user of ACT (since the DOS days of Contact International), I'm really getting weary of ownership changes and lax development. It wouldn't take much to make this THE Premier Product of its kind, but I'm beginning to become a skeptic.

ACT has not changed hands in over 12 years. We are told by April. Most of us are pretty excited about the changes!

The last time the ACT! program product was sold was in 1999 when it was sold to Saleslogic. Abut two yeas later the Saleslogic company was acquired by Sage in the UK. The Sage America went through a couple of name changes but the company stayed the same.

If anyone can get the ACT! Email Program Working Better, surely Swiftpage can? Maybe they will even make it a top priority?
Then we would not need Outlook and all the complexity that goes with syncing it to ACT!..
That and a more efficient way of printing opportunity reports where you have multiple opps for any given Contact record.
Go Swiftpage. cheers - FSB
