Need help with using Act on new windows desktop computer

I am single user with Act 2013 on Windows 8.  Have approximately 2500 contacts.

 

My plan is to purchase a new desktop computer (also Windows) in near future

 

What is the easiest way to move my current database from my existing computer to the new computer?

 

Please help.  Thanks.

Do an Act! Backup of your current database and then copy that onto your new PC with Act! installed.

Then do a 'restore as' to restore your original database.
