Need help with printing labels

[ Edited ]

I am having problems with printing labels. I have edited the label template so that it looks as follows:

C:Contact

C:Title

C:Company

C:Address 1

C:Address 2

C:Address 3

C:City

C:County

C: Postcode

C:Country

The problem occurs when a field is empty. If, for example, the fields 'Address 2' and 'Address 3' are empty, the label will be printed with two empty lines between 'Address 1' and 'City'. Could someone please tell me how to remove empty fields so that address lines are printed consecutively with no empty lines?

Are the properties for Address 2 and 3 set to can shrink? If so do the height and position for those fields overlap?

Hello Roy

I've tried setting the fields to 'can shrink' and I've made sure that the fields aren't overlapping. But the labels still have blank lines if the fields are empty.

Try making sure there is a 0.01 gap vertically between fields. The screen measurements are converted to twips which is the measurement used by the report engine and sometimes the conversion results in an overlap that's not visible on the screen.
