I have a single user (the ACT 2008! Db Owner/Administrator), who is now due to get a 2nd device.
The original Laptop is due to be left in the UK but travels between UK Offices & the users home (so can't connect directly to the server db when not connected to the network) so it has a remote DB which successfully Synchronizes with a Windows Server which is also running ACT with Incoming Sync set on (we're running 3 user licenses at present).
The other device is new - as it's small/light & solid state portable device (less prone to breaking after being man-handled during travel) - and will be used when travelling worldwide. It also has ACT on it, and a remote DB has been put on it in advance of the next trip for our frequent traveller!
1) Can the same UserName still be used on both systems or will the Sync process get confused??
2) Does it require one license per device, or per user? It's likely that only one device will be used at any one time (except now as we're setting it all up).
Any help is greatly appreciated !!

I have just the one user ... but he's going to be using 2 separate devices & therefore 2 installations of ACT.
Will it mess up the synchronization if it's the same User name, but two different devices?
