I have a database that has two visible CONTACTID fields which are not the primary CONTACTID. They do not appear in 'define fields', but they do appear in 'customize columns'. Presumably this happened when upgrading from a pre SQL based version, but not sure.
My question is how do I delete these two fields.
This was discovered when upgrading from 2009 to 2013. The fields do not appear in the 2009 database (but may be hidden). I am interested in deleting them from the 2013 database.

They seem to appear in every relevant view.
The values could be GUID's or formatting conversions from non GUID's. Many values are blank. When both fields have a value, they are the same. Sometimes one field has a value and not another.

Every view that you can customize contact columns, including in the layout designer. CONTACTID shows up twice like a normal field. You can manipulate just like any other field. The only place it does not show up is in 'define fields'.
My question is how do I delete those fields?

Tried that. This forum does not allow text file attachments. I'll try a zip of the text. I've also included the summary which is easier to read. Looks like 44 contact fields.

Thanks for your help. I think I figured it out. Someone created an extra table or two
Thought they might be topline tables, but that does not appear to be the case (topline does not find them). Would like to know how to drop these tables.
