I realize that the 'run as administrator' option did not resolve the issue with the add-on, but try it again to see if it will resolve the disabled sync options.

- close ACT!
- right click on ACT! icon
- select 'Run as administrator'
- attempt to set up sync

Thank you Greg for your patience and support. Unfortunately my attempt to remove Office 2013 and install Office 2010 has created far greater problems with Windows 8 and hence I will have to reset Windows 8 and start all over...

Did you turn off UAC User Accounts Control in Windows 8 ? 

in addition to runing ACT! as Administrator?


also be sure that all srvc pak and hotfixes for ACT2013 have been applied / reapplied ?
