Moving Fields

Hi,

 

I am new to database design & layout and I need to move the fax field (which already has fax numbers in it)

from the Personal Info Tab to the Contact Detail screen.

 

How can I move the field and retain the information.

 

Grateful for any help.

You didn't mention the version, but this answer is for Ver 10

 

You do this in layout design.

 

Go to Tools | Design Layouts | Contact

Click on the FAX label and data field (hold down the Ctrl and click in the middle of each field)

Right click and select cut

Double click on the tab where you want to place these fields

Right click and select paste

Move to the place where you want them to show

 

 

That should do it.  Of course, say yes to save changes when exiting.
