Moving Act 2008 (10.0) from one computer to another

I need to move Act 2008 from one computer to another.  I backed up my database, loaded the program on the new computer but when it asked me to register it didn't like the serial number I put in. It is the same serial number I put in the old computer.

 

What do I need to do?  Will it work if I deactivate the serial number on the old computer?

I had to move my program once too. You have to make sure the Serial number is "Exactly the Same" Caps and numbers must match. Try that first.

If you are still having an issue registering, please send me your serial# via a Private Message (click my name on the left and then click "Send this user a private message" on the right). It may just need to be reset. Or you can call ACT! Customer Service at (877)386-8083 and they can reset as well.
