I have ACT 2007. I want to start sharing my database with a co-worker over our network. Does ACT have to be installed on my computer, the co-workers as well as the network? Do I need to first uninstall my version? How many licenses are required?
Assuming you are using the standard version of ACT, a separate licensed copy of ACT must be installed on each user's PC -- so it sounds like you'll need two licenses. You do not need to uninstall your copy (but you must allow sharing of the database). The database files must reside on one user's local drive (i.e., not on a network drive). Instructions on how to do this are readily found in the Help file, under Sharing.
