Memory Allocation

New to ACT.

I have just installed an new Windows 2003 Server for a client who asked me to move their existing ACT 2007 System to the server which I have done. After connecting the workstations and running the system for a few days, memory allocation for the ACT SQL Instance has gone through the roof! Normally I would use SQL Mangement studio to connect to the SQL Instance and throttle the memory but I cant log to the instance.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Memory Allocation

Restarting the instance will defintely resolve it, a small .bat file could be written and then scheduled to run after everyone leaves. There may be a better or easier way, but I'm certain this one works.

Re: Memory Allocation

Thanks for the input but I would expect to be able to allocate resources on a server a little more elegantly than that, there most be some way to log onto the SQL instance and adjust the max memory?
