We are on ACT! by Sage 2010 Version 12.0.409.0, Hotfix 3 running on W7 professional
We uninstalled/reinstalled ACT. The MEMO field is now not accessible ( ie. text can be seen but cannot be edited / entered new text ).
Can anyone help ? Thanks

Have you tried running a check on the database? Click Tools>Database Maintenance>Check and Repair. Let both of them run through. Uninstalling and reinstalling Act! doesn't affect the layout or the database, so ti's strange that you're having this issue. Are yout he only user of the database? Are you an administrator in the database?

Did a Check and Repair many times. It does not work.
The version is ACT! by Sage 2010 Version 12.0.409.0, Hotfix 3
Do i need to update to correct this issue ?
When I tried to update , it asks to run a administrator . How do i do that ?

Not sure what sort of prob you had initially requiring you to uninstall/re-install ACT!, but you mite try manually checking for windows updates to insure all .net frameowrk items are in place.
Did you Re-apply your ACT! service paks / hot fixes?
If prob still persist, close ACT!, run ACTDIAG db Rebuild options. -cheers - FSB
