There is not a function that mass delete duplicate contacts...this must be done from the Contact List view. Here are couple of things you can try:
- If all the duplicates were created on the same day (ie, from an import), then when you run Scan for Duplicates from the Tools menu, you can add the Create Date column to list view, sort by that, highlight the duplicates (presumably the ones with the latter create date) and delete all at once
- If this is not the case, then when you get the list from Scan for Duplicates, you can enable Tag Mode, tag all the duplicates and delete at once
- If you are not sure which record to delete, then you can highlight the two duplicate record, then use the Copy/Move Contact Data option from the Tools menu to merge the two records together. This can only be done with two records at a time.
*After you have performed any of the above tasks, it is strongly advised that you run the Check & Repair option under Tools/Database Maintenance
Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
