Mail MErge failure

OS Windows 8.1

MS Office 2013 Pro 32 bit

Act! Pro Version 17.1.169.0, Hot Fix 2
English (United States)

Local computer-not shared

Silver care Support plan

ACT user since 2000

 

Multiple Tech Support calls regrading this issue- always results in temporary resolution of concern

Have renamed Office Templates to Normal.old seven times

With Email merge- wfter clicking to complete mail merge, the taskbar/dialogue box comes onscreen briefly without green bar moving to show any progress before disappearing.  when closing act after mail merge attempt dialogue box appears stating "Document is open do you want to save,

Above is an Attempt to mail merge from demo date base with included template

When attempting to close act after failed mail merge this dialogue box came up.

I am getting frustrated with this as ACT seems to be unable to resolve the issue

I hope there is an answer

Hello Balto,

 

One time I´ve got a similar issue back there the following kb entrance fix it:

http://kb.swiftpage.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/36939/kw/36939

 

This will lead you to make some changes at the registry so I recommend to make a backup of the registry.

 

Please let me know if this could fix this issue.
