Lost data in Last name after trying to copy from one field to another

Hello,  I tried to fill my "contact" field with data from my "last name" field.  After I ran the "copy" command I looked at my data base and about 70% of my last names or data in the "last name" field disappeared.  The data is also not in the contact field.  I do not know where the data went and I do not know how to undo the process.  Please help if you can.

Thank you

Hello Drdweiss2,
Welcome to the Sage ACT! Online Community!

Do you happen to have a backup of the database created prior to the change?

If yes, it can be restored using the File > Restore > Database > Restore option.
