Lost contacts?

Using Act 2007 (9.0) on a SBS 2003 Server. As of Monday, we went from having a few thousand contacts to a little over 560 contacts. What could have happened? I cannot believe somebody would have had the time to delete 1,500+ contacts. Any other possible solutions besides restoring from backup?

Contacts don't have to be deleted one at a time, you can delete an entire lookup at one time. One thing to check is the History for each users My record. Each contact deletion is recorded in the History of the My record of the user doing the deletion.

Re: Lost contacts?

Thank you. I will check into that. Are there any other possibilities that could have happened here? Excuse me if the question sounds dumb, I'm completely new to Act.

Unless you've opened the wrong database or a user has marked the contacts as Private
