Lost all Data on all contacts -

Sounds like you are making progress. 

First Close out of ACT!  totally.

Then;

Click on the little Round Windows icon on the lower left END of your task bar - it has 4 little squares in it and they are different colors.

Below where it reads All Programs there is a   Start Search    window.

In that window; type  ACTDIAG and press ENTER

You may have to wait 1 or 2 minutes for the ACTDIAG utility to start up

 Then when it does startup

left mouse click on Databases

left click on database list

select approp database  and rite click on it

  you will see options such as repair - reindex -  and rebuild ( 1st 4 rebuild options _schema -ole - security - sync)

 etc..  try those..

Do this with each suspect database. sound liek you are now onlly using one database?
