When performing the Lookup > My Record, there is only 1 result to the search so it will be listed as 1 of 1. There is no way to change that behavior.
After doing the Lookup > My Record you would need to go back to Lookup and select 'All Contacts', which will then take you to the Contact List view with your My Record highlighted. You can then double click on your contact record or click on the Detail View button to get back into your My Record.
