Lookup Dialogue Box -- Last Name Only?

When I am prompted to look for a contact for attaching an eMail, a dialogue box appears showing only the last name and the company.  Is it possible to change the search preferences so that I can type in the first name and then the last name?  Maybe select type ahead if it exists.

To those who offer a response, thanks in advance for your help.

jnpurdy,

Unfortunately, you're unable to change how names are disabled in that screen.  There is a preference to change type ahead from last name to first name.  But it will not affect the address book screen.
