Looking for simple way to export ACT into Saleslogix

Hi i hope i can help,

if you export the data into a text file ( open a note pad document and save it as a blank sheet )

Go to file on Act and Export

CLick next

Change export type to text delimited

Click browse and find the word pad file

enter the user name and password of you act base

click next and follow the export instructions

Once you have got it exported you should be able to import into saleslogix ( or paste your word pad data file into excel or some other program that will import directly into saleslogix )

You might like to have a look at Sage Migrator. We developed this in conjunction with Sage, specifically for migrating ACT! databases to SalesLogix and SageCRM.

It will bring across company, contact, history, activities, linked documents, email, and opportunities.

Just to clarify Mr Kennedy's post slightly - it is not a trial, it is a full license for 30 days.

Sage Migrator was developed with the express intention of making it straightforward to migrate an existing database to another system, and it provides all the maps to enable this. The maps can also be customised to handle any specialised requirements, such as adding custom fields, excluding bad data, and ensuring that duplicates are not created in th target system.
