Look Up's

I have only discovered ACT when starting a new job 2 months ago, at work we run 2006 version and when doing a look-up I only have to put in the first 2 or 3 letters plus asterick, I have installed 2008 at home and this function does not work, can anyone tell me how to do a quick lookup on 2008.

Thanks

Re: Look Up's

Just put in the first few letters and skip the asterisk. Searching for a first name of "jo" will show you all the Johns, Joes, and everything else.

Re: Look Up's

The wild card in SQL is now percent symbol (%) and not a star (*).

When you do a lookup, wild card is by defaut at the end of your criteria. As ECSI explained you, if you look for "Jo", ACT returns you "John", Joe", etc. If you look for "%Jo", ACT will return you "John", "Joe", but also "Mary-Jo" etc.
