Many of our Sales Reps periodically overwrite their "My Record" information with a Contact's information. Is there a way to lock the user's "My Records" so they cannot overwrite the information?

Unfortunately, there are no options which will allow you to 'lock' the user records.
If you'd like to submit this as a possible enhancement, you can visit the Ideas Forum and post your idea. Once submitted the idea can be commented on as well as voted on by other community members.

This has been a pet peeve of mine since the very early editions of Act.
Not only "My Record", but all user records should be locked. A preference or toggle should be available to lock or unlock records for editing.
