Linking fields

Is it possible to link a user field to the contacts? So I do not have to keep typing the same names.

Thanks.

Re: Linking fields

Hello Tauheeda and welcome.

Could you add a little more information?  What exactly are you trying to do.

Re: Linking fields

I think I have the same problem.

As an example, when creating a new contact I would like that when entering or choosing the "Company" field, that the other fields such as "Contact", "Phone", "E-mail" are filled automatically.  Thanks !

Re: Linking fields

To duplicate fields from an existing contact, the field has to be coded as primary.  when that is done, you select duplicate contact and you will be asked for primary fields or all fields.

As default, I believe Company, phone, FAX, address, city, state and zip are primary.  There may be others, but I changed what I wanted so long ago, I forget the defaults.  The best way is to just click on the duplicate icon and see what fields are already filled in.
