Linking Excel Spreadsheet to ACT! Contacts and Company

I recently upgraded to ACT! 9 from ACT! 6. I am attempting to link license data for the software and hardware products we produce, but cannot understand how to link the various columns in Excel to fields in ACT!  Does anyone have a "simple" solution?

In the spreadsheet make sure you have column headers.  Then save it as a CSV file.  You can then import the CSV into ACT! and map to correct fields.
