Linking ACT v20.0 to Outlook 2013 Unable to cast COM object of type

I have a new PC (Windows 7 Pro SP1), a fresh install of Office Pro 2013 (32-bit) a new install of ACT! Pro v20.0 and I am accessing a shared database. The problem is that I cannot link ACT! to Outlook. I get the error “Unable to cast COM object of type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook.ApplicationClass' to interface type 'Microsoft.Office.Interop.Outlook._Application'... When Synchronizing Act! and Microsoft® Outlook®”. I found Answer ID 33143 in the knowledgebase, but the causes listed are not our case – there was no previous install of Office and we’re using V20.0, not v18 or earlier).

Act 20.1 is highly suggested to address Outlook issues

(make a back up of Database prior for safety)

That appears to have taken care of the situation. Thank you.
