The issue we have previously reported regarding creating a contact from a company where you have X number of custom fields that are linked resulted in a KB article 23183 being posted containing a supposed fix
We have run the fix on a number of different machines here and it has not fixed the problem
The current issue remains, if we create a new contact from a company, it creates the new record with the usual default fields populated but none of the custom fields at all. If we go immediately then to COMPANIES > Update Linked Contact it does refresh instantly the correct fields
We bought in an Act Consultant who has written a DLL to replace the existing Create Contact from Company menu item which does the job properly
I am really looking forward to a version of Act which fixes the issues in the current one before forcing us to upgrade to the next version.
Come on Sage! We've been with you for years - how about creating a good platform/foundation in a version of Act that all future upgrades can build on.
