Labels

I am having a frustrating experience with labels.

What I want printed out on each label is:

  • [Salutation] [Spouse Saluation {if any}] [Last Name}
  • Address
  • City, State, Zip Code

And they need to be in alphabetical order.

Is there ANY possible way to do this?

What I have so far are formal first and last name, no spouse, not in alphebetical order and it's driving me a little crazy.

The template is Avery 5160 - 5260 - 5560.

Thank you so much for your help.

Re: Labels

Your problem is a combination of the way the standard labels are designed to work and the way you have entered names in your database. The standard labels assembles the name  from the name prefix, first name, last name and suffix fields. You have entered both contact and spouse name in the contact field. To get what you want you would need to enter the contact in the contact field and the spouse name in the spouse field and then design a suctom label to print the name the way you want on the label.

There is a third party book with comprehensive training information on the ACT! reports, here is the link.

Re: Labels

Now looking back on it, some have their spouse included, and some do not. I don't know why.
