Keypad delay

[ Edited ]

My keypad delay in ACT can take up to 5 seconds for the character to appear on the screen.  ACT is the only program that I have this problem.  You can type a word and the screen will stay blank and then all characters will appear.  In general, the program is very slow.  It is not a hardware issue.

HAs anyone else had this issue?

Re: Keypad delay

This may be a screen display issue.  Try reducing your hardware acceleration setting. Close all open programs before changing this setting.

XP

Right-click on your Desktop and choose Properties

Click the Settings tab

Click the Advanced button

Click the Troubleshoot tab

Move the hardware acceleration slidet two notches to the left Full

Vista

Right-click on your Desktop and choose Personalize

Click Display Settings

Click Advanced Settings

Click the Troubleshoot tab

Click Change Settings

Move the hardware acceleration slider two notches to the left of Full

Reboot your machine after changing this setting

Note: Effective 6/1/13, Sage no longers provides support for the Act! software. This is now provided by Swiftpage.
