Is it possible to Restore ACT! (v10) from the complete database directory structure if you dont have a .zip backup

My Windows installation went bad (registry corrupted) but my directory structure is mostly fine including my entire database located in the \my documents\ACT\ACT for Windows 10\Databases directory

I have an official ACT ZIP backup from a month ago, so I am mostly OK, but I would love to be able to restore from the latest data, which I would think would be located mostly in the above mentioned folder(s). Could it be so easy as copying the directory tree to the database directory and updating a few registry keys manually, or surely may it not be so trivial thanks to the database gods.

Surely this question has been asked before, and if there is an already composed answer on this forum, please point it to me.

Thanks,

dave

Yes, move the alf, the adf and the supplemental files folder and open the .adf from ACT.

Actually, I was just going back to my post to indicate that I indeed did just that and it worked. Originally I didnt copy over those .ADF and .ALF files but figured they were needed when ACT! requested .PAD file when opening database. Ironically since I had not read your post I did not know about the .PAD file pointer thing, and so I tried that and it did indeed work, probably because the exact same path is used on my new system as my old?

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it.
