However, unless you have a separate machine to do the testing on, I would suggest that you go over the list of features and decide to upgrade or not based on that. Installation of ACT! 2009 on your main (or only) system will replace your present installation of ACT! 2008. It will also convert your database and there isn't any way to convert it back to a previous version.
