Re: Invoicing from ACT

We have developed an addon called Opportunity List Plus for ACT! (OLP) which greatly enhances the features and functions of the opportunity section in ACT! with:

  • Redesigned "Edit Opportunity" window for better quote editing control
  • Create multiple merge templates for Invoices and/or Quotes
  • Merge Contact/opportunity/Company/Groups fields onto your templates
  • Grouping and sorting included group total and column subtotals
  • New Toolbar is added to the interface to access new features
  • Colorize any row based on user-defined 'color rules'
  • In-line editing and in-line filtering using compound filter conditions
  • Sum/Count/Total values in a any column
  • Move line items UP or DOWN without having to reenter
  • Print and/or Email using multiple templates
  • Customizable "Bill to:" and "Ship To:" fields
  • Walk BACK and NEXT without having to close the window.
  • Add activities to each opportunity.
    • You can download the Free trail from our website at : http://www.durkincomputing.com/download.aspx

Or check out the screen shots at: http://www.durkincomputing.com/OpportunityListPlus.aspx

Not only is Jim's program cool, ACT! also offers links to accounting programs including Quickbooks, Peachtree, MAS/90, MAS/200 and BusinessWorks. So, not only could you make an invoice, but you can put the sale in A/R also. Hope this helps. M

It also depends on whether you just need a quick invoicing solution or a complete accounting solution.  Sage BusinessWorks integrates completely and bi-directionally with ACT!, creating a CRM-like solution.  You can create customers, quotes, orders, and invoices from the ACT! side.  Accounting transactions post back to ACT! history.

      Just to add..

I use Excel Templates with Quote Invoice maker from Exponenciel. www.exponenciel.com

Lets you merge any field from the Opportunities screen and the Contacts area in to an Excel sheet you can design yourself - brilliant!

ANother vote for the quote/invoice maker from exponenciel.  Ive been using it for a couple years now and it works great!

It can send data both directions as well. so you can do math and such in your excel documents and transfer it back into ACT.

      Re: Invoicing from ACT

      Hi

I'm relatively new to the Act forums, but have had some useful help already.

My question here relates to Invoicing from Act using another "Sage" family piece of software, in this case TAS Books. I have been using Tas books for some years as well as Act, but am not aware if there is a way to intergrate the two.

My company at the moment uses issues Invoices by e-mail as PDF files, by printing to Acrobat Distiller in TAS. When the PDF file is created and saved in a Windows folder, the e-mail is separately created in Act and the PDF is "manually" attached to it.

Is there any more efficient way of linking the two, which might do the above and more.

      Thanks.

      John.
