Instructions for creating custom reports

Are there detailed instructions for creating custom reports anywhere? (it should not be this difficult.)

Re: Instructions for creating custom reports

There is a book available with comprehensive information on creating custom ACT! reports. Here is the link.

Re: Instructions for creating custom reports

Yes. Reports that I created as far back as ACT! 2006 still work.

Re: Instructions for creating custom reports

thank you.  I'm finding it very hard to access the subreport area of reports, and when I use crystal reports, the one field that I really need (details in history), comes thru with strange data and font info, instead of the text that is in the field.  It is very frustrating to say the least.

The database stores the history detail in RTF. The ACT! reports has an interpreter option, I don't know about Crystal.

Re: Instructions for creating custom reports

thank you.  With enough clicking, I was able to get into subreports.  I am going to see if I can produce what I need as crystal isn't getting the job done with the fields that I need.  I'm starting to make progress. Smiley Wink
