Instead of Sync, can I...

I have a laptop and a desktop (Act 2010, windows 7) and I simply want to be able to work from home (laptop) or office (desktop) and keep my databases up to date.

Instead of using Sync, is it possible to simply use a finger drive to keep the data up to date? Either using Export, or ?

hmmm, or even just saving the DB to the finger drive and using the either computer's harddrive as the back-up?

Any thoughts would be appreciated before I start investing time going down one of these roads

.I'm just trying to keep the process simple since many seem to be issues using Sync.

Thanks,

JON

Sync is really the most reliable way .... SQL databases get into problems if you try any of the methods you mention

We do remote databases for our traveling salesmen. They use the RDB on the road, then sync when they come back to the office to sync the changes both ways. Then do it again!
