Installation sequence

Hi

I'm installing ACT 2013 Pro and Office 365 on a new machine. Does it matter which software I install first to ensure a smooth install?

Both pieces of software will be downloaded

Thanks

Jack

Thanks Mark, I'll keep that in mind.

For the time being I'm quite happy with Act 2013 and Office 2010. I installed Office 2010 first and the entire process has been very smooth and easy. The Act 2007 backup file, restored and converted to 2013 perfectly as near as I can tell so far.

I have my hands full with the learning curve on the new interface with Win 7 and Office 2010, coming from XP and Office 2003, but I'll get there.

Act 2013 is truly a welcome improvement over Act 2007 and it flies on the new Lenovo i7 with a SSD and 8 GB ram.

So far so good.

Sweet!

Re: Installation sequence

Make sure and check out the ACT system requirement before trying.  Office 365 is not supported.

stick with office 2010 for now.  In that case, install office first, then ACT after that.

Thanks Jon, I called into Sage to order the download and they confirmed what you recommended.

Re: Installation sequence

We now have a product that will help ACT! work with MS Office 2013!  Office 365 gives you the option to download a copy to your desktop and we'll work with it.
