I installed ACT Pro V17 on my Windows 8.1-64 bit operationg system new computer. The ACT! Demo Database works but when I try to create a new database I get the following message" Directory lookup for the file "C\Users\Steve\Documents|ACT Data\atabases\dfg.ADF" failed with the operating system error 5(Access is denied.).
I have had no problem installing Quickbooks 2007 and restoring a saved database to it. No problems installing Adobe CS3 Master Suite of programs.
Any suggestions to help me? Thank you very much.
