Install of ACT 2006 malfunctioned, now trying to re-install and getting MSSQL$ACT7 error

Went to re-install ACT 2006 and received error "found instance of ACT7 in Microsoft SQL Server 2000".  I research boards and found variety of instructions on deleting ACT7 files and got everything except "MSSQL$ACT7 in c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server".  When I went to delete this folder I received an error message that "cannot delete opends60.dll" permissions not granted.

So how do I uninstall ACT2006 when it doesn't show up on the Add/Remove list so I can re-install and get my ACT working again on my new computer?

I would appreciate any suggestions.  Thanks
