in Word you can add extra fields such as [name] or [job title]. The plugin works on our machines, but on one of computer it says “The Application is not running”.
Please could someone help

When does it say “The Application is not running”? What is the operating system? What is the Version of Act? Is this a shared database? What Plugin are you referring to?

Operating system is windows 7
Database is shared
version is Sage Act Premium 2013 Version 188.8.131.52
Everyone else at his company are using same everything but for some reason he is getting this error.
I have checked Anti-Virus and all same as everyone else also i have even uninstalled all of Act and reinstalled with the disc still no luck
Thanks help would be really appreciated

Check the Word options on that machine to make sure the ACT! macros are enabled.

The anti virus has been checked and it is set correctly, also the same as other machines
The problem we are getting is when we open a word document the add-in option is there, if we open up a database in Act then open a template the add-in isnt there.
I have found a web link showing me how to add the add in back BUT this hasnt worked
I have found out from the company who is having the issue that they only pay for accounts support and NOT act support
