So, I was moving files around and inadvertently moved my main database file. Even though I have a back up, I cannot open it. It gives me a password error.
What is the database file extension? How do I change my password?

If you are getting a password error, it means either there is a password on the database and it is being entered in incorrectly, or there is no password and the username is incorrect. All ACT! database have at least one username, but a password is not required. Try different combinations of your (or a users) name (ex, John Smith, JSmith, John, John L. Smith) for the username. Usernames are NOT case sensitive. If you are still unable to access the database, you may need to contact ACT! technical support to reset the database login.
