I don't know if this is the correct forum, please let me know if not and I will move the post.
I am trying to import an access db with multiple tables into ACT! 2008. We are replacing the access application with ACT!
I got us up and running by importing just the contact table only. Now I want to import the associated tables into extra fields I created. the common fields in the the record is clientid, firstname, and lastname. All others are unique.
I have tried changing the options to merge, do not add - overwrite, add...but I don't seem to understand the options. Either the records don't get updated or it creates all duplicates.....
I am using a tab delimited txt file. And have played with the mapping a bit. I need to keep the relationships, but there is a big hole in my understanding here.
Could someone enlighten me????
