Importing from Excel

I just started using ACT! and am using it for a debt collection database.  Several of my debtors have the same creditor.  When I imported both (separately) a CSV and a TXT file from Excel, rather than all 600+ accounts show up, only 10 in one case and 20 in another showed up.

Any idea why?

Re: Importing from Excel

You did not mention which version of ACT you are using but the first thing you might try is to go to Tools, Preferences and untick duplicate checking and then try your import again.

I often will save the file from Excel into .dbf format for an import if that helps

Paul

How exactly do you do this?  Saving as a *.dbf doesn't seem to be an option in my version of Excel (2007).
