Importing ,csv or .txt not working.

Importing ,csv or .txt not working.

I've followed the process, tried .csv and .text files, used the wizard, checked the mapping of files to be imported and all OK but nothing gets imported.

I'm using Version 12.0.409.0, Hotfix 1

Never imported with this version.

Looking to import 400 plus records.

Hi Terrybrine,

 

Are you getting any error messages or are any of the buttons grayed out?  When you press the button to proceed, do you see HDD activity or is there a pause before the systems says it is finished?

Thanks for your reaponse.

 

Having spent another 4 hours or so getting nowhere, I decided to bite te bullet and contact ACT support who found:

1. a comma in the data

2. three  fields which needed concatenating(!)

3. my version of 2010 needed some service packs.

Eventually my data uploaded.
