Importing and Exporting to Excel Spreadsheet

I have been using ACT for several years as my primary contact database, however as I do have virtual assistant that I would like to using an Excel Spreadsheet to IMPORT and EXPORT data is what I would like to do.

Question:-

#1)  If I have my data input into an Excel Spreadsheet
       a) Is it possible to import it into ACT?
       b) In what format do I have to save my Excel Spreadsheet file so that it is importable into ACT?
       c) What version of ACT do I need?  I currently have the 2007 version.
       d) What are the steps/process for me to do that?

#2) If I have a database in ACT
      a) is it possible to import it into an Excel Spreadsheet?
      b) What are the steps that I need to follow to import it into an Excel Spreadsheet?

ACT has an add-on software called Excel Templetes for ACT.  Would I need that to accomplish what I have to do in #1 and #2

Thanks

Re: Importing and Exporting to Excel Spreadsheet

When importing, it's important to know if the records will all be new or be able to replace those in the database.

If you want to just update certain fields, you should look at itImport. There is a trial available from - http://www.glcomputing.com.au/main/57/1
